Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2018-2019 Season.

Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number. Later in this registration session you will need to enter this USA Hockey Confirmation Code.

Bantams/Peewees/Squirts - Players must be registered with WBLAHA before they can pick up their tryout jersey. "AA "and "B" tryouts will begin the first week in October. A $100 late fee will be added after August 31, 2018.
Girls 15U, 12U, 10U - Players must be registered with WBLAHA before they can participate in tryouts. "A "tryouts will begin the second week in October. A $100 late fee will be added after September 1st, 2018. NEW for 2018-19, a $50.00 tryout fee for anyone trying out for the "A" team. There is no charge for "B" grading.
Mites/8U - Players must be registered with WBLAHA before they may attend Mite/U8 Skills Camp or Grading. Grading dates and times to be announced.
Clinic - Players must be registered with USA Hockey and WBLAHA before attending clinic.
Jr. Gold - Players must be registered with USA Hockey before they can participate in Fall Warm Up Camp and with WBLAHA before tryouts.
A player's primary residence must be within the boundaries of the WBLAHA or the player must attend a school within the boundaries of the WBLAHA. The boundaries of the WBLAHA follow the boundaries of ISD 624-White Bear Lake Area School District. CLICK HERE to see the updated MN Hockey Participation Rules, effective for the 2018-2019 season.
Non-resident players who choose to play for WBLAHA based on school enrollment must obtain a Waiver from their home association (based on residency) before they may play for WBLAHA. The waiver must be signed by their home association's president, the WBLAHA president and the District Director(s). Contact the player's home association for the waiver. Waivers must be completed before tryouts begin. Players choosing to waiver into the association based on school attendance are not eligible for the highest team (AA for Bantams or Peewees or A for all other levels) the first year of their waiver.
Players may be asked to provide proof of their residence and/or school enrollment.
WBLAHA is proud to offer First Year Clinic at no charge. The clinic program offers lessons in basic skating and hockey skills for all clinic players 4 to 9 years of age (birthdate between 7/1/09 and 6/30/14).
Players registering with WBLAHA for their first year of Clinic Program will do so free of charge*. You must still sign up utilizing our online registration process but you will not be charged a registration fee by the WBLAHA.
*All players are required to register with USA Hockey. Children over the age of 6 will be charged a $50 registration fee by USA/MN hockey.
*Players registering for a 2nd year of Clinic will be charged a $90 registration fee.
Bantam, Peewee and Squirt AA, A, and B Tryouts: $50 per player, non-refundable. The deadline to register for Bantam, Peewee and Squirt tryouts is September 1, 2018. A $100 late fee will be added to late registrations.
Tryout jerseys for Bantam, Peewee and Squirt AA, A and B teams will be available for pick up at one of the MANDATORY Parent Meetings to be announced at a later date.

15U, 12U and 10U A Tryouts: $50.00 per player, non-refundable. The deadline to register for 15U, 12U and 10U is September 1, 2018. A $100 late fee will be added to late registrations. Tryout jerseys for 15U, 12U and 10U A teams will be available for pick up at the Preseason Parent meeting. Dates TBD. There is no additional charge for “B” grading and those players will get jerseys that day.

Players who are interested in moving or playing up a level, due to grade or skill, must complete a Move/Play Up Request Form and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org. All Move/Play Up forms must be submitted to and approved by the WBLAHA Boys or Girls Director(s) and/or Board prior to tryouts. See the WBLAHA Handbook for more information.
Registration for Fall Warm-Up Camp is COMING SOON!
WBLAHA will offer its annual pre-season fall warm-up camp for Mite/8U through Junior Gold/19U. The camp is designed to prepare players for team tryouts and grading sessions, with an emphasis on skill development and will be directed by members of the WBLAHA Coaching and Player development staffs. To register, please visit the Fall Warm-Up Camp registration page when it becomes available.
Each player is responsible for Eight (8) hours of DIBS volunteer hours with a max of Sixteen (16) hours per family. DIBS this year will include, but not be limited to: concessions; tournament duties such as clock, book, penalty box, locker room security, etc.; swap meet; parade; mite winter blast; 8U and mite jamborees; coaching and managing teams and many other duties within the association. Watch the website and Facebook for the many DIBS volunteer opportunities during the entire year. You may opt out of DIBS hours for $300.00 per player, max of $600.00 per family, during today's registration. If you do not meet your player's hours requirements or miss your scheduled shift, your check will be cashed at the end of the season. Checks will be collected at the start of the season. DIBS hours run June 1 to May 31st each year.
Clinic skaters, Junior Gold and 19U are exempt from this requirement.
AA Bantams- the first installment of Team Fees is non-refundable and will cover the costs of the team up to December 10th including, but not limited to ice fees, referee fees, tournament fees, team apparel, use of provided uniform/equipment, team bags, etc. The amount will be presented at the first team meeting not to exceed $1000. The amount will be approved by the Boys Hockey Director and VP of Hockey prior to the first team meeting.
The WBLAHA board of directors has formally approved the use of Intelligym as a training aid for our players.
This system is a video-game-like training program designed to improve cognitive performance of competitive athletes. The software program is designed to provide hockey players with a training tool for the mental side of the game. It’s also used to help increase hockey sense and rink awareness. The goal of our kids using this program is to improve the player hockey sense and help decrease injuries by improving their rink awareness.

The White Bear Lake Hockey Association membership has voted to conduct our 4th-annual Calendar Raffle. The money that is raised will help support the White Bear Lake Sports Center Rink repair and expansion. It is no secret that ice shortages are an issue, therefore, we are working towards both a short term and long term solution. The funds raised from the Annual Calendar Raffle will go towards rink improvements and/or financing.
The Calendar Raffle is a Raffle Ticket in the form of a Calendar. There are cash prizes on each day of the year from January 2019 to December 2019. Cash prizes range from $25 to $1000.
Mite Level through Jr Gold/U19
Families can participate in selling the calendars. Six per family no matter how many skaters you have in the Association. You will write a check a check in the amount of $150 to your Team Manager once teams have been formed.
Buyout option. You can choose the “buyout option” in the Registration and choose to not purchase the Calendars. We will collect $125 during your registration. This is paid at the time of your registration. (there is no separate link)

Participants purchase a Raffle Calendar for $25 each. When the Calendar is sold, the seller will retain the ticket stub which will go into the drawing. Team/Families will drop off the ticket stubs at one of our Charitable Gambling locations.
Winners will be announced Friday, December 28th at 6:00pm at the Village Sports Bar. All 365 winners will be drawn at the same time. They will be posted on the White Bear Lake Hockey Association website the following day, Saturday December 29th. Checks are then mailed to the winners by Friday January 4th.
